International Peace Day Commemoration in Bor town, Jonglei State

In Bor town, Jonglei State, the Government through the Ministry of Peacbuilding in collaboration with INTREPID South Sudan (ISS), organized the commemoration of the International Peace Day with support from NPA-South Sudan. The local theme was "Action for a Peaceful Jonglei" with the Global theme being "Act Now for a Peaceful World."
The celebratory event, held at the State Secretariat instead on the 20th, featured speeches from the government and our Executive Director, the NPA representative, and other non-state actors, including the Internally Displaced Persons at Bor IDP camp, and performances from poetry, prominent musician Anyar-yol Mathiang.
We are committed to a bottom-up peace approach in Jonglei State, the Greater Upper Nile and South Sudan in general.
